SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — Not sub-zero wind-chills, gusty winds nor snow could keep one runner inside during this Winter storm.
Chris Wagoner runs at least five days a week and said that only lightning could keep her home. Tuesday morning, she was determined to get in at least three miles.
Wearing just two layers, Wagoner carefully chose her steps as she made her way through downtown South Haven.
“It’s nice and quiet out here,” said Wagoner.
“I have this crazy idea that since it’s dark out that it’s not that bad. If it was daylight and the snow was blowing down the street, I probably wouldn’t go.”
Wagoner knows these conditions aren’t ideal or safe for everyone, but she has been running in winter for several years.
