Park Twp. Death Ruled A Homicide

Bdf2PuDCQAILaIUPARK TWP. Mich.- The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department has said a body found in the 1100 block of Ambertrace near 152nd and Ottawa Beach Monday night has been ruled a homicide.

Deputies say 38-year-old Jose Hernandez died from multiple blunt force traumas to his head.

Hernandez was found at Amberwood Apartments during the recent snowstorm. Capt. Mark Bennett says the Park Township man was found dead covered by snow. They believe his body had been there for 24 hours.

Hernandez was reported missing after family hadn’t heard from him and he failed to show up for his work shift at midnight.

Deputies found his body next to his car which they believe had been running for 24 hours.
