Raw Video: Massive Pileup on I-94 in Indiana; 3 Confirmed Dead

I-94 pile-upLAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. – Eastbound I-94 is shutdown in northwest Indiana after a massive pile-up involving semi trucks.

Indiana State Police tell FOX 17 that the accident is near Michigan City, Indiana.  According to our sister station WGN in Chicago, at least three people are confirmed dead and at least 20 others were injured.

The crash is located near mile marker 33 from US 421 to US 35.

It is not clear how many vehicles are involved; however, pictures from people in the area show more than a dozen semi trucks possibly involved in the chain-reaction crash.

    If you people would learn to slow down in such bad weather instead of being in a rush to go nowhere and driving like crazy people maybe less people would have died

      antonio am sorry to hear your sister was in that crash and truly hope she is fine,BUT indeed speed has everything to do with it.If going slow enough and staying enough car lengths behind other cars will make a BIG difference. Even if it's hard to come to a stop on slippery roads if going slow enough the running into another car will not be as bad of a accident. Just saying

    To settle some disagreements a semi-truck started the accident even if the semi was going slow it still would of slide and once u start sliding u down stop especially a few ton semi
