WEST MICHIGAN — In Tuesday’s early morning hours, many people noticed a phenomenon known as ‘light pillars’ throughout West Michigan. Below are some of the photographs they shared.
The pillars of light are the result of ice crystals in the air, which produce the effect of slim columns that seem to beam into the atmosphere.
