TETERBORO, New Jersey (Feb. 5, 2014) – While pop star Justin Bieber made his way back to the United States from Canada, the pilots of his private jet were forced to wear oxygen masks due to marijuana smoke, according to NBC news.

Last week, Bieber’s private jet was searched by DEA and U.S. customs agents when his plane landed at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.  He was returning to the U.S. from Toronto where he was charged with assault for allegedly attacking a limo driver.  It came just days after he was charged in Miami following his driving under the influence arrest.

During questioning in New Jersey, 19-year-old Bieber admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana on the plane.  Besides the smell of smoke, investigators said they couldn’t find any physical traces of the drug.

NBC News reported Wednesday morning that pilots of the plane said the aircraft was “so full of smoke” that oxygen masks were needed.  “The captain of the flight stated he warned the passengers, including Bieber, on several occasions to stop smoking marijuana,” said the report.  “The captain also stated he needed to request that the passengers stop their harassing behavior toward the flight attendant and after several warnings asked the flight attendant to stay with him near the cockpit to avoid any further abuse.”
