At Least 1 Wounded in Grand Rapids Shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (February 10, 2014) – Grand Rapids Police Officers have responded to a shooting in downtown Grand Rapids where at least one person is hurt.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Weston Street and Commerce Avenue, just south of Fulton Street.

At least one person was hurt in the incident, but details of that person’s injuries haven’t been released yet.

As of 4:45 p.m., authorities confirm a suspect has been taken into custody.

    Must be all the crazies are getting immune to the cold weather. First McDonalds and now a shooting a few steps away from the cop shop. What the hell is going on in GR?

        I know, and agree. It's just that being brought up in GR, like a lot of people, I prefer to wear my naive, if not, Rose Colored Glasses when it comes to seeing the real trash that has taken over my hometown. Despite the message this nation has tried to convey with elections and laws, our economics, prejudices, and loss of respect for one another is thriving and it breaks my heart to see and admit it.
