GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Feb. 20, 2014) — Grand Rapids is the backdrop for a new Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segel movie. It’s the first locally shot movie in four years.
According to MLive, the movie, which began filming February 19, is called The End of the Tour. It’s a biographical film about author David Foster Wallace, who committed suicide in 2008.
Eisenberg (The Social Network) is no stranger to West Michigan, having spent a couple of months filming in Grand Rapids for the comedy 30 Minutes or Less in 2010. His co-star, Segel(How I Met Your Mother) also spent time in Michigan, filming The Five Year Engagement.
The film shoot is expected to go about five weeks.
