GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Feb. 27, 2014) –Eight people were displaced following a fire Thursday at Sam’s Party Store, 1034 Bridge St.
According to Grand Rapids Fire Department, the fire started at about 4:15 p.m. No one was injured.
The fire started after an electrical problem in the store, according to officials. Seven adults and one child who lived above the store are now displaced.
Investigators say electrical issues have occurred at the building in the past, and they will be inspecting to see if the building is up to code.
