GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Feb 27, 2014) —  This extraordinary winter keeps setting records. As of Thursday morning, Grand Rapids’ seasonal total is up to 107.6 inches, and more snow is in the forecast over the weekend. You may remember for nearly a month, FOX 17 has been predicting this winter to end up in the top three snowiest, and it has happened!

The current total places us at the second snowiest on record. Here are the top three rankings as of midnight Thursday:

  1. 132.0″ (1951-52)
  2. 107.6″ (2013-14)
  3. 107.0″ (2007-08)

With another 24.4 inches, it’s the gold medal.

I think you're having too much fun with this. I'm really hoping we DON'T become the snowiest on record

Great Pic… My sister just told me about it….LOL I took this with my phone about a week ago. This is on S. Croswell heading North between 80th and 88th. in Newaygo County.
the banks on each side are high as my truck (GMC 2500HD) as of yesterday. The county plows have it open now! But after the harsh blowing last night it may be drifted shut again. drive slow and be safe.
