Giant Sinkhole Could Swallow Vehicle in Detroit

detroit sinkholeDETROIT, Mich (March 28, 2014) – Crews have shutdown an intersection in Detroit after a giant sinkhole was spotted, large enough to swallow a vehicle.

The sinkhole is approximately 30 feet wide, located on Linwood near Monterey Avenue.  A gas line below is clearly visible from the aerial images above.

Crews are working to repair the issue.  No injuries reported.

    when they are done the 5 of them are going to stand around watching and talking about it for 2 hours while the last one throws 2 shovels of cold patch into it and at the end of the work-day they will call it fixed and be back in 30 days to do it all over again, and that is how Michigan spends all its money on road repair. ;)
