FREMONT, Mich. (April 3, 2014) — Farm field monsters dominated the parking lot at Fremont High School Thursday morning as students drove their tractors to school and parked them like bosses.
“Drive Your Tractor To School Day” has been an annual event at the school for a number of years, so we at FOX 17 decided to put a camera in the lot and watch the parade of farm implements.
“The kids really love this day,” said Patty Craven Bitson in a post on FOX 17’s Facebook page. They hold lunch in the lot, have hay-throwing contests, and take their tractors to the elementary school to show the kids, said Bitson.
We hear that Rebel Smith, a Fremont grad and FFA advisor, started the event when he came back to the school to teach.
