GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (April 3, 2014) — While a wintry mix of precipitation is still possible in spots Thursday and into Friday, most of West Michigan will keep conditions wet rather than icy.

As of mid-morning Thursday, a steady area of rain was affecting the southern half of the FOX 17 viewing area, with some scattered mixed showers to the north.  Wet weather will become a bit more scattered into the afternoon, and with temperatures slowly climbing, the threat of freezing rain will be minimal in most locations.

There will be more rain ahead for Friday, but temperatures will be a little warmer.  We’ll cool down enough Friday night for a little snow to mix in before the forecast dries out over the weekend.
