WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich (April 3, 2014) – A teenager in metro Detroit is calling out Planet Fitness’ ‘judgment free zone’ slogan after she was kicked out of a local gym.

Allison Roth, 17, told Fox 2’s Andrea Isom she usually wears a t-shirt to the gym, but recently opted to wear the tank top instead.

During that visit to the gym, Roth says she was approached by a¬†female employee who says another gym member complained about the teen’s attire.

That’s when Roth says she canceled her membership and left the gym.

According to Roth and her mother, they were never told about a Planet Fitness dress code.

Isom spoke with other gym members. Some told her they wear whatever they want, others said they were told at sign-up their outfits couldn’t reveal too much skin.

Planet Fitness issued a statement to Fox 2, saying: “Planet Fitness locations are owned and operated by individual franchisees. We have been made aware of this incident and we are looking into the situation.”

First off, YOUR SITE IS SOOOOOOO SLOW! Secondly, there was nothing inappropriate about her attire. I thought there was was side boob or something, but there was nothing, absolutely NOTHING.

Nothing wrong with what she wore, but I like how the news broadcast this was on tonight was brought to us by Planet Fitness..

I don't think there was anything wrong with her attire, but the "no judgement" gym motto is meant for everyone in the gym to feel comfortable, even if they aren't already skinny. It's a gym for people who don't go to the gym everyday, a gym for people who are trying to turn themselves around. Maybe that skinny girl in her tight tank top was making people feel self conscious, and if in fact people were "feeling uncomfortable" then why is it so hard to just wear a different shirt to the gym?

She looks very nice. I've seen more hanging out on women who aren't even at the gym! Seriously, this is ridiculous. Ooooo, I can see both her shoulders. How scandalous!

Some judgment free zone! She got judged! I have seen another news video online of a woman getting kicked out for wearing a similar outfit. You can youtube guys setting off the 'lunk alarm' at planet fitness, but it seems to me that they just are against people becoming confident. They should change their slogan to where only fat people work out because if you loose too much weight, feel confident, and wear a tank top we will kick you out.

The outfit was appropiate, not sexually revealing at all. In fact it helps her stay cooler as she works out. The woman whom complained should have been asked to either leave or, look the other way. Too much judgmental ignorance effecting all walks in life. I wonder what the complainee wears at the beach blinders and, a tent. Wtf…..
