Man Shot To Death At Kalamazoo Mobile Home Park

KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police are investigating a shooting death at a Kalamazoo mobile home park.

At 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Kalamazoo County central dispatch received a report of a gunshot victim at the Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Park, located at 1519 Olmstead Road in Kalamazoo Township. The caller said the information came from a third person and the caller didn’t have direct knowledge of the situation at the mobile home.

Dispatchers sent Kalamazoo Township Police Department officers and Pride Care EMS to the park. Upon arriving at the scene, they found an adult male dead from a gunshot wound.

The scene was secured, a search warrant was obtained and the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office and Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety technicians processed the scene.

Police told FOX 17 NEWS that the death was “suspicious.”

The victim’s identity has not yet been established.

Officers remained on the scene investigating for several hours until later Thursday evening.
