KALAMAZOO, Mich (April 18, 2014) – A 4-year-old boy is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike today.

Officers found the 4-year-old lying in the street in the 1700 block of North Rose Street around 4:15 p.m.  The boy was crying with visible injuries to his head.  He was transported to the hospital where he’s listed in stable condition after suffering minor bumps and bruises.

A witness tells investigators the 4-year-old was riding his bike in a driveway when he slid out in the roadway and was hit by a vehicle.

Investigators say North Rose Street remains closed for the time being near Prouty and Union Streets while they investigate the incident.

Ok where was the Parents? As the story says they found the boy lying in the street crying. I just do not understand how people can let there babys run free by themselves? Then it is these same parents want to cry and say the police are not doing there job when there child is lost or abducted because they were to busy with todays modern technology. It is sad that when babies have babies they do not know nothing of raising them at home they feel the neighborer streets or police are to raise them. Oh dont forget when they send the 2 years old outside with the 5 year old to watch them. WAKE UP AMERICA TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN YOU WANTED TO PLAY WITHOUT PROTECTING YOURSELF PLEASE DONT EXPECT YOUR CHILD TO PLAY WITH OUT YOUR PROTECTION !!!!
