FENNVILLE, Mich. — (Apr. 24, 2014) April is Michigan Wine Month and around the state wineries are celebrating the contribution the Great Lakes state makes to the wine industry.
Fenn Valley Vineyards has been family owned since the 1970’s and has been producing award winning wine just 5 miles from the shore of Lake Michigan.
The 230 acre vineyard grows grapes found in parts of Southern Europe that normally wouldn’t be able to grow in Michigan but because of the lake effect it makes it possible.
Founded before the Michigan wine boom, Fenn Valley produces quality wines in an idyllic setting. The grounds host many events year round including during Michigan Wine Month.
