Water To Be Shut Off For Some Battle Creek Residents During Valve Replacements

water genericBATTLE CREEK, Mich. (May 20, 2014) — The City of Battle Creek Water Division plans to replace water valves on May 20, which means water will be shut off for residents for about 12-14 hours.

The following areas will be impacted:

  • Post Ave from Main to James
  • Lathrop from Grenville to Nelson
  • Massachusetts from New England to Main
  • Kingman from Main to Illinois
  • Main from Walnut to Massachusetts
  • Highway from Post to Kingman
  • Jericho from Post to Kingman
  • Nelson from Cliff to Kingman
  • Inn from Post to Kingman
  • Vale from Cliff to Columbia
  • James from Cliff to Columbia

The area or length of time could be extended in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Once water is restored, residents are asked to be prepared for a boil-water advisory and to check the water before washing white or delicate clothing due to the possibility of discolored water.
