KALAMAZOO, Mich. (May 22, 2014) — A 40-year-old Kalamazoo resident has been arrested for felony murder and child abuse in connection with the January death of a 2-year-old.
Police found the child unconscious Dec. 31 in a home in the 400 block of W. Frank St. The child died Jan. 2 in the hospital, according to a release.
The suspect, who has not yet been identified, is being charged with felony murder and first-degree child abuse. They were arrested Thursday and are currently lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail pending arraignment.
