BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (May 22, 2014) — Golfers have been enjoying some of the (finally) warmer weather around West Michigan recently, but a shot of cooler air will greet those playing and watching the first round of the 75th Senior PGA Championship Thursday at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.

Inland areas in West Michigan will get well into the 60s during the day Thursday, but a stiff northwest breeze off of Lake Michigan will keep many lakeshore areas quite a bit cooler.  After all, water temperatures are still mostly in the 40s — this means that temps near the lake will stay in the 50s to low 60s.

That northwest breeze will keep things cooler on Friday for the second round of the tournament as well.  But a gradual warming trend will take hold through the weekend.
