Person of Interest Connected to Dorr School Evacuation Charged With Larceny
ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. (May 22, 2014) — The person of interest in the suspicious package incident that caused Dorr Elementary School to be evacuated earlier this week has been charged with a crime that led up to that incident.
Curtis James Harding, 47, of Moline was charged with felony larceny Wednesday.
A judge also ordered Harding to stay away from Dorr Elementary. The school was evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious package.
Harding is accused of stealing a real estate agent’s ID card shortly before the alleged bomb threat. Police say that ID card was found in Harding’s car.
It’s unclear when he will face formal charges for the alleged bomb threat.
Harding is currently lodged at Pine Rest in Kent County and was arraigned Thursday via video conference.
