Fatal Motorcycle Accident; Father dies

berrien co sheriffWATERVLIET TOWNSHIP, Mich. (May 25, 2014)–A man is dead after a car versus motorcycle accident that happened Saturday afternoon.

William Raymond, 54 years old, was riding his motorcycle with his daughter, Arica Raymond, 20, when a Chevy Blazer pulled out in front of them. William could not avoid the collision and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Arica and the other driver were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash happened at the intersection of Red Arrow Highway and County Line Road in Berrien County.

Curently, Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office will review the accident before making any decisions on pending charges.

    There have been hundreds of accidents right there including my son. How many have to die or get injured before they do something.

      Traci, I don't know how old you are, but that intersection has ALWAYS been bad (going back to the 50s and 60s). I grew up in Hartford and when traveling down Red Arrow I always approached that intersection with extreme caution, especially if travelling from Hartford to Watervliet where you come up over a hill and the intersection is RIGHT THERE. I'd have thought it would have had something done before now.
