PAVILION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (May 31, 2014)- One woman suffered chemical burns Saturday morning after a meth lab failed.

According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, Life EMS responded to a call of a person with burns in the 5200 block of Pavilion Drive in Pavilion Township. Kalamazoo Sheriff deputies then responded to scene when the burns were caused by a methamphetamine lab failure.

When deputies arrived on scene they made contact with four subjects behind the house and observed another subject carrying what appeared to be a meth lab running from the house. Multiple subjects still inside fled from the residence and the other subject with the suspected Meth Lab escaped before additional officers arrived.

Deputies were able to go inside the residence and found three active one-pot meth labs and six older one-pot meth labs were found.

The female suspect was transported and treated at a local Kalamazoo Hospital for chemical burns from the meth lab failure and charges will be requested for several subjects from this investigation.
