Storms Shred Trees in Rockford Area; Knock Out Power

rockford treesROCKFORD, Mich. – Severe storms that pounded parts of West Michigan Wednesday left their mark on northern Kent County.

Trees were toppled in the Rockford area when the storms rolled through at around 1pm.  These pictures were taken from Sir Charles Drive in Rockford.

According to the Consumer’s Energy Outage site, more than a thousand customers were without power in the area.  We are working to get exact numbers and restoration times.
