Another Shooting in Battle Creek, 16-Year-Old in Critical Condition

Battle-Creek-police-cruiserBATTLE CREEK, Mich. (June 29, 2014)– Police are investigating yet another shooting that happened in Battle Creek early Sunday morning.

According to Battle Creek Police Department, officers responded to a call of shots fired at around 3:15 a.m. Sunday morning. The call was near the first block of High st.

When police first arrived on the scene, they came across a large crowd. Located within that crowd was a 16-year-old male shooting victim laying on the ground. He was transported to the hospital, and is currently in critical condition.

Police are looking for help from the community as they investigate this case. The suspect is believed to be a black male, between 5’5-5’8 and 150 pounds.

The case remains under investigation. Officers ask if you have any information about the incident, to call Battle Creek Police Department or Silent Observer.
