MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich (June 29, 2014) – The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a deadly hit and run crash that happened Sunday evening.
Deputies were called to the 4300 block of Automobile Road around 6:00 p.m.
The Muskegon County Sheriff tells FOX17 a young female jogger was hit by a vehicle and didn’t survive. Her name hasn’t been released.
The vehicle involved left the scene according to investigators, though a description of the vehicle hasn’t been released at this time.
Deputies at the scene tell FOX17 a nurse happened to come across the jogger and attempted to administer CPR, but the jogger didn’t survive.
Deputies say the female victim was dressed in exercise clothing, though no skid marks were located at the scene.
Deputies haven’t released a vehicle description just yet, but are asking anyone that may have witnessed something along this stretch of road to contact them, or silent observer at 231-72-CRIME.
