Jogger Said to Have Died in Hit and Run Found with Gunshot Wound to Head

MUSKEGON DEADLY HIT AND RUNMUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. (June 30, 2014) — The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department has ruled the death of a jogger, thought to be killed in a hit and run, as a homicide after she was discovered to have a gunshot wound to the head.

Deputies responded to the 4300 block of Automobile Road around 6 p.m. on June 29. Deputies say that a nurse happened to come across the jogger and tried to administer CPR, but she didn’t survive.

A press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. on June 30 and FOX 17 plans to have a crew there, and will provide the latest updates as they become available.
