Dispatchers: Abandoned Farm House Catches Fire

DECATUR, Mich. (July 5, 2014)– Firefighters are exhausted from fighting the same fire twice Saturday morning.

According to dispatchers, the fire was in an old farm house located in the 34,000 block of 88th Ave in Van Buren County. The initial call came in at around midnight Saturday, the firefighters knocked down the fire at around 2:30 a.m. They then got a call of the fire sparking back up at the same location at around 7:45 a.m.

They returned to the station at 9:30 a.m. No injuries were reported. The scene is still under investigation, but according to Decatur Fire Department, human intervention is believed to have started the fire.
