2 Shootings, 4 People Injured Overnight in Kalamazoo

shootingkzooKALAMAZOO, Mich. (July 5, 2014)– We have a crew on scene now of a shooting that happened early Saturday morning.

Police say the call came in at around 1:45 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived on scene they found 2 women that were shot in the leg. This all happened on the corner of Douglas Ave. and Mason St. According to police, there was a large gathering in the area, and the shootings happened as a result of a fight. Later a male victim showed up at the hospital related to this incident with gunshot wounds to his face and leg.

There are no suspects in the case yet. And all three victims had non-life threatening injuries.

In another unrelated incident, Police are investigating an additional shooting in the Kalamazoo area. It happened at around 2 a.m. Saturday morning near N Burdick St and W Clay St. One male was shot in the leg. He sustained non-life threatening injuries as well.
