1 Killed in Overnight Shooting in Muskegon Heights

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (July 9, 2014) — Police confirm that one person is dead following an overnight shooting in Muskegon Heights.

Officers responded to the area of Hoyt and Hovey at around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a subject down.  When they arrived, they found a male victim who suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.

    The natives are restless again . If they could put half their energy into positive behavior like improving their neighborhood, perhaps it wouldn,t be looked at as "Da Hood", and " we be keeping it real, we're misunderstood and being kept down by da man. Those crap excuse's are old and worn out, the civil rights era generation would be ashamed of how their work has been wasted by the hoodrat's and their handout mentality. Muskegon Heights keeps saying we need change and are tired of this violence, you know who the riff-raff are because they are your neighbors. As a community, rise up and run them out, physically turn them in, burn them out. Whatever it takes to reclaim your village, or just keep turning a blind eye and accept it.
