My youngest son suffered the same fate at the exact same age just over 6 years ago at the hands of his father. My son was in the ICU for 5 days with a subdural hematoma . (Pathetically enough, they found an old one on the MRI indicating that his father had injured him a few weeks prior as well.) Miraculously, my son made a full recovery and is a normal, healthy 6 year old. So there IS hope! However, our justice system is a joke. My son’s father only got 5 years probation and NO prison or jail time. His rights were not terminated. And he only went to prison for 3.5 of a 15 year sentence for violating that probation. (He was caught physically abusing his then girlfriend’s two little girls.) As of now, this bastard roams free having just made parole. I hope this poor child receives more justice than my son. The Kent county justice system failed me miserably.
