CHICAGO (WGN) – Police were called to a report of shots fired in a downtown Chicago high-rise building located at 231 S. LaSalle around 10:00 am, Thursday. It is at the Bank of America building in the city’s financial district.
Chicago Police News affairs confirmed that they were responding to that location.
Earlier, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed there were two people dead at 231 S. LaSalle. Now they are saying one person is dead and another was hurt.
Officials could not immediately confirm the shooting but witnesses describe heavy police activity at that location.
One witness said a person was taken out on a stretcher.
