Car crashes into a building, injuries reported

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- A car crashed into a building Saturday afternoon just south of downtown Grand Rapids.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of S. Division Ave. just south of Wealthy St. The car crashed into the front of the Grand Rapids Buddhist Temple.

According to Grand Rapids Police Officers at the scene, a vehicle travelling northbound on Division Ave. clipped the Chrysler Sebring which was travelling southbound. The accident sent the Sebring into the front of the Buddhist Temple.

Minor injuries were reported at the scene.

Damage to the building is severe. It is unknown right now if the building is structurally sound or not.
