GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — All summer long Celebration Cinema, Downtown Grand Rapids Inc, and Ah-Nab-Awen Park have brought us, Movies In The Park.

With two shows a month each show is dedicated to a different era.  In June they played “Raiders of the Lost Arc.” and “Grease” to meet their, 40’s and 50’s theme.  July brought “Dream Girls” and “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” for 60’s and 70’s.  That brings us to August where a few weeks ago they had the 80’s hit, “Top Gun.”

Friday, August 22nd the “Movies in the Park.” season closes with the 90’s classic Jurassic Park.  In celebration of the last show of the season they have made it a double feature.  Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. took votes on what show to play for the second show of the night and “The Sandlot” won.

The fun starts at 7PM at Ah-Nab-Awen Park downtown Grand Rapids. The park always fills very quickly so get there early and grab your seat.  The film begins at dusk and to add to the fun; costumes are encouraged. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed attendees.
