3 people injured in stabbing at mobile home park; 1 in custody

PLAINFIELD  TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman and two men were injured and one person was taken into custody following an overnight stabbing at the Brook Haven Mobile Home Park.

Two men were arguing, which led up to the stabbing in lot 50 of the park, which is on West River Drive. The Kent County Sheriff’s Department was called to  the scene around 1:15 a.m. on August 22 for a report that several people had been stabbed.

Deputies found a woman with serious injuries; she was taken to a hospital with a laceration to her back. Two men were also found with minor injuries.

The suspect was found at a home nearby and was taken into custody. Police continue to investigate and interview witnesses and the victims.
