TYRONE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman was killed and two other people were injured Wednesday after a crash at 20 Mile Road and Tyrone Avenue, and police say alcohol is believed to have been a factor.

According to emergency officials at the scene, the crash happened at about 8:15 p.m. north of Kent City when a Ford pickup truck that was headed south on Tyrone blew through a stop sign and hit a 2010 Dodge Charger.

A passenger in that Charger, identified as Anna Escutio-Chavez, 25, was transported to the hospital by Aero Med and later died as a result of her injuries.  Police say the driver of the Charger was also injured and is listed in stable condition.

The at-fault driver of the truck sustained head injuries and is listed in stable condition.  Police say alcohol played a role in this crash.
