Lady Antebellum cancels their Allegan County Fair show

ALLEGAN, Mich.- Lady Antebellum has had to cancel their show Sunday evening due to a band member's wife going into labor.

Allegan County Fair officials state on their Facebook page that guitarist Dave Haywood's wife is having a baby. Her scheduled delivery date was moved up and she has been hospitalized early. Thus forcing Lady Antebellum to cancel their show Sunday night at the Allegan County Fair.

Joe Nichols will still perform Sunday night for free, but concert goers will still have to pay for admission to the fair and parking.

If anyone has purchased tickets to the Lady Antebellum show will receive a full refund including all service fees. Fair officials state that credit card refunds will be automatic, but if you paid with cash or check you must go to the fairgrounds to receive your refund.

Joe Nichols is set to perform tonight at 7 p.m.

    It is a strange and unusual thing for a band to miss a concert because a band members wife is having a baby. Why wouldn’t they replace him for that concert? That use to be the normal practice. Fans met that much to the bands. Yes the guy who’s wife is having a baby it is only right he stay home, but the others?
