GREENVILLE, Mich. — As gas prices plummet around West Michigan, Greenville is the champ Tuesday for lowest reported prices, with one station charging $2.76 per gallon of regular unleaded.
Drivers are tanking up and topping off to take advantage of prices that, according to a blog post by Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy.com, are the result of classic supply-and-demand pressures in the oil business, in addition to “global economic concerns, falling demand, and a huge drop in corn prices.”

“It has been close to a year since prices dropped this low,” writes DeHaan, who, elsewhere on the site, notes that low gas prices are becoming common across the country.
