WATERVLIET TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The pilot of single engine plane was uninjured after his plane crashed on Paw Paw Lake Saturday afternoon.
According to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. Saturday on Paw Paw Lake. Deputies state that the 45-year-old pilot from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was attempting to land his single engine plane with sea floats on Paw Paw Lake when the plane crashed.
The pilot was not hurt in the crash and was helped by boaters on the lake.
Deputies state that no significant fluids were released into the water.
It is unknown what caused the plane to crash. This crash is still under investigation by the FAA.
