ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Pierce Street was shut down between 72nd and 76th avenues Monday night while firefighters tried to contain a fully involved house fire.
Ottawa County dispatchers said the fire started in the basement of a home in the 7000 block of Pierce at approximately 10:30 p.m. and four departments responded to the scene.
Police say only one person was inside the home, and they were treated for smoke inhalation.
