WEST MICHIGAN — It’s been fairly rainy and cool this fall football season around West Michigan. Many of the high school and college football games were delayed multiple times due to lightning, wind and rain. As we end the regular season for many high school teams, the weather finally turns around.

Temperatures Friday afternoon will warm into the low 60’s for afternoon high temperatures and some sunshine will gradually return towards later afternoon and early evening. This will set-up Friday Blitz football games well as temperatures will fall into the mid 50’s by kick off making for a pleasant evening.

Clear skies Friday night will give way to mostly cloudy skies Saturday morning. Cloud cover early Saturday will keep temperatures mild allowing overnight low temperatures to stay in the upper 40’s. Sunshine will return as skies clear in late morning. Sunshine Saturday afternoon will help warm temperatures into the low to mid 60’s making for perfect football weather for the Michigan-Michigan State game in East Lansing, and the Western Michigan University Homecoming game in Kalamazoo.

Temperatures fall slightly Sunday afternoon but the weather will still be very pleasant with sunny skies and afternoon high temperatures in the low 60’s. Weather conditions will be fairly similar in London for the Detroit Lions as they take the pitch in Wembley Stadium. As 80,000 fans enjoy american football they will be treated to partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 60’s.
