DETROIT, Mich.—Icy conditions are causing some slow downs at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and that could have a ripple effect around the region.

According to Detroit Metro Airport’s Twitter account, the runways are open, but traffic is moving slowly across the field.

At one point, all air traffic stopped because of icy conditions. The airport’s maintenance crew has been working to clear the roads.
