GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Our featured fugitives of the week are being tracked by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force after absconding from parole.
Bernard Steward has been on the run since November 2013. He served 10 years for armed robbery and larceny.
The 37-year-old is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes and uses the alias Jerome Smith.
“Bernard has contacts here in Grand Rapids and also in Muskegon, and we know he’s traveling back and forth between the two,” said David Sharp with the Michigan Department of Corrections. “We’ve talked to some folks who say he’s in Muskegon right now, and he’s been arrested there before.”
Also on the run is Andrew Reynolds, who just absconded earlier this month. He has done time for home invasion, breaking and entering, and drugs.
The 39-year-old is 5 feet 11 inches tall, 210 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
“He is a parole absconder from Grand Rapids, he was up in Greenville for a while; we were up there last week and had just missed him. His girlfriend says he’s back in Grand Rapids now,” Sharp said.
Both Steward and Reynolds absconded out of Grand Rapids.
