Newaygo Co. Commissioner arrested, charged with destruction of property

FREMONT, Mich. — Newaygo County Commissioner Steve Arnold Johnson has been arrested and charged after an alleged incident involving Freedom Chevrolet, 7052 West 48th St.

According to a release from Fremont Police, Arnold was arrested Saturday and has been charged with malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000.

The charges stem from a complaint filed by the car dealership in March.

No other details have been released.
