BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- One person was killed and another suffered burns, the result of an early-morning fire that happened on January 1, 2015.
We're told the fire started shortly before 5:30 a.m. at a home on 1st Street in Battle Creek. Three people were inside at the time of the blaze, and one was not able to survive. Another person suffered burns and was taken to the hospital.
The fire remains under investigation.
