GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A West Michigan couple who sexually assaulted a 1-year-old baby girl and videotaped it will each spend at least 25 years behind bars after pleading guilty Wednesday.

According to Kent County Circuit Court officials, Michael Emory pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a person under 13, child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime.  Stevie Foehl pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime.

Officials say that they discovered video of the alleged sexual assault on Emory’s computer while investigating him for another sexual assault involving a 14-year-old in Ottawa County.   The rape involving the infant happened at an apartment in Comstock Park.

Foehl and Emory were arrested at a relative’s home in South Carolina in August 2013 and extradited back to Kent County.  They will be sentenced Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.
