Atlanta, GA (WGCL) — Two bodies have been found in the search for a missing Marietta couple.

The Georgia State Patrol Dive Team found Bud and June Runion’s missing SUV in a body of water. A short distance away, investigators found the body of a man and woman.

Authorities have not positively identified those bodies as those of the Runions.

The couple was reported missing on Friday after they drove to Telfair County to look at a classic car. They never returned home.

The Telfair County Sheriff’s office issued warrants for the arrest of Ronnie Adrian Towns on Sunday afternoon.

Towns turned himself into police Monday morning on charges of making false statements to investigators and criminal attempt to commit theft by deception.

Investigators believe Towns was the last person to communicate with Bud and June Runion.

On January 19, Bud Runion posted an ad on Craigslist wanting to buy a 1966 Ford Mustang convertible.

Police believe Towns answered that ad and said he had a car for sale. The Runions went to McRae in Telfair County to look at the car, which did not exist.

Police said Towns likely lured the couple to rob them of cash.

“I am confident that Mr. Towns is involved,” said Telfair County Sheriff Chris Steverson.

They were last seen driving a champagne colored 2003 GMC Envoy with Georgia tag BWU7349.

Anyone with any information about the couple is asked to call the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 868-6621 or the Cobb County Police Department at (770) 499-3945.

The family has set up a Facebook page with updates.
