2 businesses burglarized, a home invaded in Kent County

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two business break-ins in Alpine Township and a home invasion in Grand Rapids Township during the past week.

The first business burglary occurred at Genius Phone Repair in Suite C at 4174 Alpine Avenue NW last weekend. The second happened Thursday at the Filling Station at 4750 Alpine Avenue NW. Both locations are in Alpine Township.

Anyone who has observed any suspicious activity around these areas is being asked to call the Kent County

Sheriff’s Office at (616) 632-6356.

On Wednesday, deputies responded to a call from an alarm company reporting an alarm being tripped at a home in the 3900 block of Reeds Lake Boulevard in Grand Rapids Township. Officers responded to the home and discovered that an entry door was damaged.

A suspect appeared to have kicked in the entry door to gain entry.

A black Jeep Liberty was seen in the area and may be related.

The crime scene was processed for evidence and the Kent County Sheriff’s Office is still actively investigating.
