CHICAGO, Ill. — Ticket prices for the Grateful Dead’s three-day run of shows at Soldier Field this summer have reached six digits.
As of Monday, one person onStubHubis selling a General Admission floor ticket for the July 4 show for $116,004.09. Several others are selling pit General Admission tickets for around $99,999.
Other General Admission tickets were going for much lower (about $14,500). If you’re willing to give up floor or pit seats, there’s currently an upper level ticket on sale for the bargain price of $13,344.09.
Of course, there are tickets being sold at much lower rates. As of Monday afternoon, the lowest price listed on StubHub was for an upper level, obstructed view ticket to the July 4 show. The cost? $556.25.
The Grateful Dead will be performing at Soldier Field July 3-5 as part of their 50th anniversary. The band’s last concert took place there 20 years ago.
According to CNN, surviving members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir will all perform. Trey Anastasio (Phish), Bruce Hornsby and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti are also participating.
