MASON COUNTY, Mich. — Crews battled a fire at the Pallet Recycle plant Friday night.
According to Mason-Oceana County dispatch, the fire department was notified when a truck driver delivering shipments noticed a fire in the building around 10 p.m.
It took several fire departments’ help to contain the fire at the plant.
According to officials, the fire was contained early Saturday morning.
Dispatchers say officials from Traverse City will visit the site to look at the damage caused to the building. They will later demolish those areas affected greatest.
At this time the cause of the fire is unknown.
