LAKE ZURICH, Ill. -- 12-year-old Sam Holtz beat out  millions of others with his NCAA bracket in this year's ESPN bracket challenge.

However, according to WGN, the Lake Zurich sixth-grader is too young to have a shot at collecting the grand prize: a $20,000 Best Buy gift card and a trip to the 2015 Maui Invitational.  The contest rules state that the prize is open to legal U.S. citizens who are at least 18 years old at the date of entry.

Holtz's bracket tied for the top spot with user 'Grant3326.'  Each had 1,830 points, beating out roughly 11.57 million other entries.

Holtz entered the bracket challenge with his dad's email address (used with his dad's permission), according to WGN.

Duke beat Wisconsin 68-63 Monday in the NCAA Championship game.
